Our founder and President, Coy Szaflarski, quickly grew past Legos as a kid and was running a Southbend 9” lathe at around 10 years old. He worked in the family sign shop all through school where he learned welding, fabrication, and some machining. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Platteville in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Technology Management, leaving with experience in CNC machining, metal casting, robotics, etc. Coy has worked as an engineer in two tier one automotive suppliers, casting and machining components such as pistons, engine blocks, heads, oil pans, etc. Coy started the company in 2021 while working as a manufacturing engineer at a steering wheel manufacturer. Engineering by day, he would head to the shop after putting his daughter to bed and would work well into the morning to get his business moving and serve his customers.
